Context

Tiauna Washington is a 5-8 PLTW and Science Teacher in Richmond Indiana. She taught her 5th-6th graders about the importance of how the products they use in their everyday lives has a beginning middle and end and how we can come up with ways to engineer new uses for products to keep out of the landfills. Students showed empathy towards the people who extract raw material and how it impacts their health and environment.
